Summit Pointe Autsim Center
Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) affects 1 in 88 children in the United States. The ASD category includes the following diagnoses:
- Asperger’s Disorder
- Pervasive Development Disorder Not Otherwise Specified (PDD-NOS)
- Childhood Disintegrative Disorder
- Rett’s Disorder
Each of these individual diagnoses has its own individual characteristics, but ASD is generally marked by difficulties with social behavior, communication (both verbal and nonverbal), and the presence of repetitive behaviors or interests.
The Summit Pointe Autism Center is a comprehensive program for children diagnosed with ASD and other developmental disabilities. We offer diagnostic screenings for ASD and treatment in the forms of behavior therapy (applied behavior analysis or ABA), social skills training, speech therapy, occupational therapy, and physical therapy. Treatment plans are individually developed to meet the unique needs of each child.
